  • WebMatrix on Web Camps TV

This week I had the absolute privelege of hosting the Channel 9 Web Camps TV show. The show featured WebMatrix, and our guest was Vishal Joshi, Lead Program Manager for the product. Vishal highlights some of the great new features available in the new version of WebMatrix, which you can download for free in under 2 minutes. The product is impressive and offers just about every single thing a web developer would need. From database edits to code completion across C#, CSS, HTML, and even PHP code completion, WebMatrix has you covered. Take a few minutes and check out the new features you can get for free on Web Camps TV

  • Codemash SignalR Talk

If you attended my SignalR talk at Codemash, thank you so much for your time. I had a blast at Codemash, and really enjoyed the talk. It was a great audience with some good conversations in the hallway afterward. If you attended the session and want to get your hands on the deck and code, this is the place.

  • Richmond Code Camp

The Richmond Code Camp was great. NDecision attracted a lot of participants and enthusiasm and motivated me to keep plugging away at it. There was some excellent audience pariticipation and Twitter-reviews from which I got much encouragement. Both sessions I presented were loaded with enthusiasm that Microsoft is, from all public observation, maturing in its attitude and adoption of OSS contribution. That was uplifting, but not my favorite observation from the weekend.

  • MADExpo 2011 Recap

MADExpo 2011 was great. I met some new people, had some engaging conversations, saw some amazing presentions, and overall was humbled by the level of expertise in the room. I'll summarize my thoughts on the event and my experiences in this post.

  • Netduino at the TriNUG

Tonight I gave a presentation on Netduino to the TriNUG user group. They were a great group of people and I discovered that one of the meeting’s organizers took a class from me when I taught in Phoenix! It was pretty awesome to see him and to remember the week’s class; after that class Scott Cate and I drove a car through the desert to Oceanside California. Just goes to show your community stays with you even as you move worlds away, and like minds find one another and all that. Dan drove us, so thanks to him for the drive and the continued education on how things work with the electrical and mechanical stuff and for helping out.

  • WNC Presentation

I had a great time last night speaking on [what I call] composite web application development in Asheville, NC last night. Thanks a lot to the group for allowing me the opportunity to provide the presentation. Hope you guys got some inspiration from it and that it'll aid in your development efforts in the future! I've zipped up the code and the presentation, so get it here if you're interested.
