Everyone's talking about Zed's post about Rails being a Ghetto but there's one sentence that makes it all worth it to me. It is a slam on ThoughtWorks (to a degree, or should I say a portion of the content of his slam on TW), so let me say that (1) I am also not a TW fan despite my (2) consistent love for CCNet and that (3) though I use TDD I think a lot of the programmers out there who are using it are doing exactly what he complains about herein. Point is, here's the quote.
Sorry guys, but having a 1:4 code:test ratio
is not focusing on code quality. It’s focusing on test quality.
Amen.
